Brandon Bay half marathon & 10K 2019

This event is scheduled to take place on the 20th July 2019. This unique run is Ireland’s only all beach half marathon & 10km.

To participate in this, pay an entry fee of €30 for the 10km run, and €40 for the half marathon. Included in the fee is:
Event tech t-shirt, bespoke event medal, race number and timing chip.

Brandon Bay provides the backdrop for Ireland’s longest sandy beach . On the west side it stretches back to Fermoyle and in the eastern side it goes all the way to Fahamore in the Maharees.

The organisers of the event are Castlegregory Celtic Football Club. You can walk, run, or jog and absorb the surrounding beauty of mountains and sea. This is really enjoyable challenge and every year, there is an increase in the number of participants, who come from all over Ireland. This compelling event also attracts athletes from abroad.

The organisers leave no stone unturned to ensure that all those taking part have the time of their life. A brilliant atmosphere prevails, water fruit and hot soup will be supplied at the end of the race.

The starting line is at Fahamore and the race also finishes there.

The organisers are very conscious of the health and safety aspect of the event and an ambulance service will be on stand-by.
There are three small streams along the way , to negotiate. This is one event that nobody should miss!
